Meet Dr. Nelson

Dr. Chauncy Nelson, the founder of Nelson Orthodontics. Prior to becoming an orthodontist, Dr. Nelson taught on the faculties of the dental schools at the University of Alabama and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He loves working with patients to get them the smile that they’ve always dreamed of.

Upon arrival for our son to get braces, he was feeling a bit anxious, nervous and scared. I shared with the technician his worries and mine. She was very kind in reassuring him that she would go at his pace and anytime he felt they needed to stop to just let her know. He came out smiling and said it wasn’t that bad. We got home to realize the bottom wire was a little too long and was poking him in the gums, we went back up and they took us back immediately to fix it. I look forward to working with this office throughout my son’s treatment!
